A new paper in Current Biology reveals a bat with a penis so big that it can’t fit inside the female. When erect, the penis of a male Eptesicus serotinus is 22% of its body length, with a huge heart-shaped swelling on the tip. That’s 7x wider and longer than the female’s vagina, according to the authors.
So what does he do? He just kinda rubs it on the outside, then ejaculates on the vulva. This footage was shot in the attic of a Dutch church.
